Starting tomorrow, the Muslims will be fasting for 30 days before the Hari Raya.
Starting tomorrow, I am on a 336-working hour operation. Non stop.
Okay, maybe not. But you get the gist - I need to work!

You know, every road in life is pre-destined.
Yes, I have resorted to that belief. It makes things much bearable, to know that you can fight for all you want, but this is it. Life's made out this way, and just like ants, we have to follow and keep in line, otherwise, you stray away.
To hell with books and degrees and certificates with Italic wordings, because the 5 years you spend in whichever institute is not going to grant you a wonderful life thereafter. You go to school, you hope that you make into the cut, and then you realized that your classmate who didn't even score a decent CGPA is working for the Nation's Oil and Gas company.
And yourself?
You work for him.

Today I had to attend 2 meetings. Nothing interesting, except that I think my clients take advantage of me, whenever I attend meetings; SOLO. During the first meeting, with my senior, they didn't voice out any of the concerns, and even agreed to provide sufficient documents to request service from us. However, came the second meeting, the person in charged told me that they wouldn't want to submit such documents to us due to some inconvenience (or I think the fella was lazy to do it!!) and told me that they won't be doing it. I was like "Whaaa?" I haven't even warm my seat and they shot me with such statements.
I feel like a dumbass in the centre of attention. Really.
Because there are certain things which I have no idea what's going on, because it's beyond my need to acknowledge. Like the quotation and tender pricings. Or the documents they are expected to send in to us.
And when the client asked me if it's okay if they do not send it, I could only say, "I thought it was agreed, wait, I have to ask my superior first."
Not only I look stupid, but clearly clueless! And I hate that.
This is why I try not to go for meetings alone, because there are certain issues I am not supposed to handle, and I have zero knowledge about.
Thank goodness I managed to coax the client to submit the documents, anyhow.
There.
I also had my dinner on my own today. With the usual colleagues, I would eat at the hawker stalls near our hotel, but today, I felt like spending the night alone. Took my iPad along, and went to this ONE AND ONLY Japanese Restaurant/Western in Sri MANJUNG and just chilled.
I had Assorted Sashimi Set and a Caramel Creme for dessert. A wholesome meal.
Could have down a bottle of Strongbow but they ran out of it. Aah!

Took this at Jiang's place over the weekend, to throw Mel a "farewell party". Nice drumstick and sides :) I believe there will be more "farewell parties" to come, wished there were more weekends of such.

Yesterday, I was pretty determined to at least visit the gym once, before I get away for 3 weeks or so. Even though the technician from P1 came and checked the condition of our modem, and left late in the evening, I told the missus that I want to at least flex out the muscles before going for dinner. The missus had a bottle of soy milk and I had half piece of banana, just to keep our hungers at bay, because we usually have our dinners quite early.
Anyway, we decided to just do a 30-minute work out because we don't want to have our dinners too late, and I don't want either one of us to be getting gastric attack.
We decided to warm up, on the threadmill. Just doing a 5km/hr, with an incline of 4.00%. I know it's nothing great, but was enough to keep someone who has been away from the gym back to shape. One thing that I realized that my heart rate can go up pretty fast in a minute.
I started off with a 111 pulse, and it suddenly shot to 156 in less than 5 minutes. On the other hand, the missus maintained its heart rate at 110 from the beginning to the end of the warm up.
My question is, is it normal for heart rates to shoot up so quickly? I have discussed this issue with several friends, and they told me it's because of my bad stamina, which caused my heart rate to beat double the rate to sustain the blood and oxygen level in my body. Why, am I that bad of shape? Actually the family has heart related issues and I wonder if this is the cause of it? I remember when I was younger, I jogged around and always find that my chest hurts when I ran for 5 minutes or so. I am a little worried, because the chest no longer hurts that much, but the heart rate doubles almost instantly.
Well, we did a 30-minute exercise; switching from threadmill to the other machine.
We finally figured out how to fully utilize it since our personal trainers didn't tell us everything during the first session of our gym.
Sometimes I wished I could have more time, to work out. I should consider swimming laps in Lumut, instead.

Don't really remember when was the last time I actually sat down and write in-depth.
It's not that I have been extremely busy or what, but the actual interest of sitting down and actually write, is no longer that provocative.
I have been missing out on gym classes (and gym altogether!). There were times when I wished I would at least make an effort to go, but the thought of having to pay RM2.00 for parking, and the hassle of having to find a parking spot, was actually enough to get me running in the neighbourhood's park. Although it was a good 10-minute run, it was not enough to make me sweat.
I will try harder tonight, after work!

So last night, I decided to put on my jogging gear and do a 3-round jog at the neighbourhood's park. I know how ridiculously near the gym is yet I chose to do my routine-jog in the park..but bear with me. It has been 3 weeks since I've been to the gym, and I find that the crowd was simply ridiculous on a Wednesday, so instead of getting stuck in a jam while looking for a parking spot, I decided to do a 15-minute jog around the park.
Well, I paid for the gym fees you say, but heck, I got my workout done!

I think I'm a sucker for gadgets.
Barely 3 months to owning an iPhone, I got myself a new toy.
It was a spur of moment and not that I am regretting it.
Most girls spend their money on shoes, clothes, designer bags; I on the other hand choose to splurge on such techniologies. I hope my addiction would go away, and NOT purchase anything randomly pricey for at least 365 days!!

#Bersih 2.0 succeeded in causing a chaotic momentum to the country, with roadblocks conducted almost everywhere heading into KL city.Although I would know better that this is not what their initial motives were, but considering the impact that they have steered, I would say that their cause has reflected how well the government handled this tricky situation. And so, now we know.
And I thought I was the only KLUTZ..
On an indirect related note, corporate securities in major companies have declared a lock down at 4pm today. Probably they would want to avoid the major jams (confirmed!) due to the road blocks in the city centre. I highlighted this to the General Manager today, but all I got was, "Tomorrow office still open". Hello, no brain kah?

I don't think the office is a suitable place for work, for myself.
Whole day I have been browsing the online shops and forums about gadgets.
Oh no...,
I think I'm a shopaholic!

I coincidentally came across a Chinese movie the other day, with this saying,
"First loves are forever."
But they never last.
I remember when I told myself, that I will love you, forever. Turns out that I was wrong. There were many "I love you's" thereafter and I've gradually moved on.
But the movie was right. First loves are forever.
Moral of the story: Don't screw around when you are young. It taints you for life.

I think I've changed in many ways. When I was 16 and not so smart.
