This morning, I woke up thinking that it could be just like any ordinary Saturday I would have, in KL. The only plus point was today, was good hair day; no "porcupine hair" when I woke up.
It suddenly struck me that today was UCSI's Convocation day for the 2010 graduates, so I quickly gathered information to reconfirm certain issues.

I woke up, and had the most awesome "Fish Head Noodles" in Taman Desa, and managed to make it on time to UCSI, in Taman Connaught, Cheras.

This is my first time to this campus, and for the 8 months me being in Cheras, I didn't know that a campus was located behind a row of shop houses.
Well, not until today, did I know UCSI is located on a hill top.
Amazing huh?

Okay, meet my friend. Si kura-kura. Look at the glasses he puts on. Geeky right? Yeah, nope, it wasn't his graduation, sadly.

It was in fact, Sam's graduation. She didn't know that I was going to turn up, in fact it was such an impromptu decision to attend the convocation that I didn't manage to buy her anything, not even a bouquet of flowers.

Now, you may say that outside the campus, there were many flower stands, selling bouquet of flowers, soft toys. Well, I didn't exactly ask how much those cost, but logically, surely prices would be hiked up. So, I didn't even bothered asking, because I know, Sam wouldn't mind if I turned up, empty-handed. Because seeing me there, would be indeed a splendid surprise. Right?

However, even without my bouquet of flowers, she ended up having 4 of those, from her friends. So many can?..It was so terrifying! I wonder how many of those would I be getting, in October. Hmmmm......

In order to compensate for being there empty-handed, I became the photographer of the day. Armed with my one and only compact, the Lumix, I have to say that I did an awesome job! Well, I was rather efficient in being there, with the main character, snapping pictures as she move about with her friends. Well, there were a couple other cameras as well, but no harm in getting more backups right? After all, being in a robe only comes once in a lifetime, usually.

After the whole ordeal, I joined Sam's family for lunch, which was great! And Zoe bought me Caramel Frappe after that. Well, awesome Saturday!

This is my first time attending a friend's convocation, outside of UTP. It was nice being introduced to Sam's family members as well as her high school friends. And also a wonderful experience to walk about USCI's compound, although I only managed to go as far as the convocation hall and lobby. And of course, being the photographer for a friend, the feeling is great!

p/s: Not to forget the free lunch and Starbucks drink today. I wish more of my coming weekends would be just like today
's. :)
