Whole family was in Malacca over the weekends to get bro prepped up for a new semester.
He's finally back from India, after 2 years and going to finish his 3 years here.
I have been to Malacca for a couple of times, over a brief weekend most of the time.
Spent it near Jonker Walk everytime, but when you are with your family in a new state, for 3 days, you have got to eat more than Chicken Rice Balls!

I contemplated whether to write about this place where we went for Nyonya food. Not that it's hidden since many bloggers have written about this place, but for such a limited room space, I wouldn't want anyone be fighting for a table, WHEN I DECIDE TO GO BACK FOR THE SECOND TIME!
However, since I have not been writing much, it will do all of us some justice by posting more yummy food!

We stumbled upon this place when we decided to just google "Nyonya Restaurant Melaka" for lunch. The kiasu us went there at 12pm, and managed to snitch the last table in the shop. Mind you, there are only 8 tables including ours. Best if you want to avoid disappointment, should call beforehand to make reservations.

It's cozy though. Makes you feel like you are home. Reminds me of Fat Spoon, its ambience.

Though the homey ambience, food here is not as cheap as you think it is. But I would say it's reasonable, and people are willing to pay for the quality (and taste!) of the food.

Chicken cooked in Limau Purut curry

Udang Masak Lemak Nanas

Grilled Brinjals

Petai masak Sambal and Ikan Bilis

Okra with its specialty sauce

Cincaluk!
As you can see, this deems to fit for a 4-person meal, BUT this is not applicable to my family. In fact we wanted to order more, but didn't want to spend more time waiting for food to be prepared, thus we left, and vowed to come back again.
